As of Tuesday, May 06, we have pulled Harley Davidson Beef Jerky, 3.5 ounce due to a Class II recall related to a manufacturer problem. A Class II recall involves a potential health hazard that has the remote possibility of causing illness if the product is consumed.

This recall impacts the Harley Davidson's Beef Jerky 's Original, Peppered and Teriyaki varieties. ConAgra, the manufacturer, has issued the recall since the Beef Jerky product may contain beef which was part of a previous USDA recall. We have instructed our stores of to pull these products from our cases.

Gourmet Boutique Twister Recall

As of Saturday, May 3, we have issued a voluntary Class I recall for the following Gourmet Boutique Twisters, 2/5 Ea: Italian Stallion, Turkey Club, Buffalo Bob, and Chicken Caesar. According to Gourmet Boutique, these products may be contaminated with Listeria due to a problem at their plant.

While we have received no reports of illness as the result of a Weis customer eating these products, a Class I recall means that eating the affected food could result in health problems or even death.

Our stores have been instructed to pull and destroy these products. We have also deactivated the scanner codes for these products so that customers will not be able to purchase these products.
