Avocado Tartine

Ingredients

  • Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste
  • 1 LaBrea French Baguette
  • 2 Ripe Chilean Hass Avocados, pitted and scooped from shell
  • 1 cup Oil-Packed Sun-Dried Tomatoes, drained and chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Lemon or Lime Juice
  • Fresh Basil Leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375'F.
  2. Slice bread into diagonal pieces and place in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  3. Toast until golden brown on top, about 5-8 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, mash avocado with a fork.
  5. Add fresh lemon or lime juice, salt and pepper, and mix gently to combine.
  6. Spread 2 tsp of avocado mixture on each toasted slice.
  7. Top each with a small spoonful of chopped sun-dried tomatoes.
  8. Garnish with sprigs of fresh basil before serving.
