Crock Pot Apple Butter

Try it melted over bread, scones, biscuits, or pancakes!

Ingredients

  • 10 Large Weis From the Field Apples, cored, peeled, and finely chopped
  • 3 1/2 Cups Weis Quality Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Cups Weis From the Field Apple Juice or Cider
  • 2-3 tsp Weis Quality Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 1 tsp Allspice
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions

Place apples in a large bowl.

Add Apple Juice or Cider.

Combine sugar, cinnamon, cloves, allspice and salt.

Pour over apples and mix well.

Place in crock pot, cover and cook on high for 1 hour.

Decrease heat to low; cover and cook on low for 9-11 hours or until thickened and dark brown.

Stir occasionally.

Uncover and cook on low for 1 hour longer.

If desired, whisk until smooth.

Freeze or Refrigerate in Jars and enjoy!
