Snow Ball Cookies
Prep time: 10 minutes Bake time: 10 minutes per sheet (30 minutes total) Makes: 36 cookies (3 dozen)
Ingredients
- 1 tsp. imitation rum or butter extract, option
- 1 tsp. Weis Quality Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1/8 tsp. Weis Quality Salt
- 2 cups Weis Quality Confectioner's Sugar, divided
- 3 Tbsp. Weis Quality Corn Starch
- 3/4 cup White Whole Wheat Flour
- 3/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 cups Weis Quality All Purpose Flour
- 3/4 cup Weis Quality Canola Oil
Instructions
PRE-HEAToven to 400 °F. POUR oil and vanilla into a medium sized bowl. In a separate bowl, SIFT the flours, ¼ cup powdered sugar and cornstarch together and WHISK gradually into oil. STIR in the nuts. ROLL into ½ inch balls and PLACE 1-inch apart on cookie sheet. BAKE 10-12 minutes. COOL on pan for 2 minutes. ROLL in remaining powered sugar and place on rack. When completely cool, ROLL again in sugar.
