Shopping Center in West Lawn

Weis Markets, Inc. today announced it had begun construction of a new shopping center, which will include a 63,000-square-foot flagship superstore and 12,000-square-feet of additional retail space.
This center is located on 112 West Wyomissing Boulevard in West Lawn, PA. The company expects to complete construction of the center and open the store in the late spring of 2011.
The new store will feature Weis Markets newest store design with expansive perishable departments, a center store, and pharmacy and HBC/GM section. Each department will have increased variety and selection.
The new design will also utilize advanced refrigeration and climate control technologies designed to lessen its impact on global warming. These technologies will reduce the store’s refrigerant charge (usage) by 50% compared to a conventional supermarket.
It will also feature a number of energy reducing technologies, including: solar/thermal rated windows and reflective roofs and skylights for natural lighting.
