(Sunbury, PA) – Weis Markets today announced it has completed the remodel of its Schoenersville Road Store in Bethlehem and that it will make $21,000 in charitable donations as part of its Grand Re-Opening Celebration on Sunday, February 28. At the Grand Re-Opening on Sunday, Weis Markets will donate $20,000 to St. Luke’s Hospital and Health Network’s mobile dental and medical clinic program, which serves 30 Bethlehem Area elementary, middle and high schools and selected youth service agencies. It will also make individual $500 donations to the Bethlehem Fire Department and the Liberty High School Grenadier Band. As part of the remodel, the store now has expanded produce and deli departments, an improved layout and upgraded bakery, all new décor and a new customer service area. Founded in 1912, Weis Markets operates 164 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey and West Virginia. It operates eight stores in the Lehigh Valley.
