WEIS MARKETS OPENS BEER-WINE CAFÉ IN ALTOONA STORE
The store will offer 932 varieties of wine and beer.
SUNBURY, PA (August 1, 2019) -- Weis Markets today announced it has opened a beer-wine café in its Altoona store, located at 601 Pleasant Valley Boulevard.
The café received final PLCB approval to open on August 1. It now sells more than 700 varieties of imported and domestic wines including ones from Pennsylvania vineyards, as well as a chilled section. The café also offers over 200 varieties of domestic, imported and craft beer, including a local beer section.
It now operates 71 beer-wine cafes in its Pennsylvania stores.
The café sells beer and wine Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
At today’s ribbon cutting celebration, the store donated $500 to the Mountain Lion Backpack program, a local organization in the area.
