Work on both Maryland stores will be completed this summer
Sunbury, PA (May 31, 2024) – Weis Markets today announced it has started the remodel of its stores in Thurmont and Hagerstown, Maryland. The stores are expected to be completed later this summer.
“We are doing an extensive remodel and upgrade of our Thurmont and Hagerstown stores which includes new décor, increased variety and a redesigned deli/food service area offering an expanded selection of prepared meals,” said Weis Markets Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing Bob Gleeson. “As a result of the remodel, our Thurmont store will have an expanded produce department.”
This is the second phase of store upgrades in Thurmont, where it opened a Weis Gas N’ Go Fuel Center in 2023.
Both stores will remain open and operate normal business hours during the remodel.
