WEIS MARKETS CELEBRATES THE REMODELS OF TWO LANCASTER COUNTY STORES

Manheim and Stony Battery Road Stores now have beer-wine cafés and expanded variety

Sunbury, PA (November 29, 2018) – Weis Markets today announced it has completed the remodels of and upgrades to its Manheim and Stony Battery Road stores in Lancaster. Each store has added a beer-wine café and has expanded variety.

Both stores celebrated their Grand Re-Openings on Thursday, November 29.

Improvements at the remodeled Manheim store, which is located on Doe Run Road, include new décor, additional self-checkout lanes, expanded food service options, increased organic, natural and gluten-free variety in grocery, dairy and frozen, and a new service meat case. The beer-wine café offers 505 varieties of beer, including a local craft beer section with Lancaster Brewing and St. Boniface beers. It also has 578 varieties of imported and domestic wines.

Weis Markets now has six stores with beer-wine cafes in Lancaster County.

Improvements at the remodeled Stony Battery Road store include new décor, expanded organic, natural and gluten free variety in grocery, dairy and frozen, a new service meat case and sushi prepared in-store. The beer-wine café offers 512 varieties of beer. It also has a local craft beer section with Lancaster Brewing and St. Boniface beers. The wine section has 693 varieties of imported and domestic wines.

Each store offers online ordering with curbside pick-up, which is available in as little as four hours after ordering. Both stores are also serviced by Shipt which offers online ordering with home-delivery.

At each grand-reopening celebration, the stores presented $1,500 in donations to local non-profits. Manheim’s store team presented individual donations of $500 to Northwest EMS, Manheim Food Pantry and the Hope Fire Co.

The Stony Battery store team presented individual donations of $500 to West Hempfield Township Police, West Hempfield Fire and Rescue and the Mountville Fire Company.
