WEIS MARKETS COMPLETES SHAMOKIN REMODEL

Store celebrates Grand Reopening with donations to local charities

 

Sunbury, PA (November 19, 2020) – Weis Markets today announced it has completed the remodel and upgrade of its Walnut Street store in Shamokin.

 

As a result of the remodel, the store has expanded deli, pharmacy and frozen departments; new décor; increased variety throughout the store; and an upgraded exterior. Work on the project began in July.

 

This is the first of a two-phase project. In 2021, Weis Markets will build and open a six- pump fuel center on an adjacent site.

 

As part of the Grand Re-Opening, the store presented $500 donations to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church (Food Pantry), Shamokin Senior Action Center

And Central Susquehanna Opportunities

 

“We’ve upgraded our Shamokin store, which now offers more convenience and variety,” said Ron Bonacci, Vice President of Advertising and Marketing. “A big thanks to our store team for their help with this project and for their service to our customers. We also look forward to completing work on our fuel center, which will open in 2021.”
