Stores offer lowered prices and increased variety

Sunbury, PA (November 1, 2024) – Weis Markets today announced it has reopened two Sunnyway Foods in Franklin County as Weis Markets’ stores located at 49 Warm Spring Rd in Chambersburg, PA and 212 N. Antrim Way in Greencastle, PA.  

As part of the conversion, the store now offers lower prices on 10,000 items, added Weis 2 Go online shopping with curbside pickup, and increased variety in the grocery and produce departments. The stores have hired more than 100 former Sunnyway Foods associates and will now be open on Sundays.  

"We want to welcome existing Sunnyway customers and new shoppers to our reopened stores in Chambersburg and Greencastle," said Jonathan Weis, Weis Markets’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We are committed to providing our customers with quality products and exceptional value and look forward to serving the Franklin County community."

As part of the reopening celebrations, Weis Markets Greencastle store manager Doug Main and team presented donations to Greencastle Antrim Education Foundation, Greencastle Exchange Club, and the Greencastle-Antrim Food Pantry.  

At the Chambersburg location, store manager Chris Shenton and team presented donations to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, Meals on Wheels Chambersburg, and Habitat for Humanity Franklin County.
