Weis Markets Holds Grand Re-Opening for Remodeled Store

WEIS MARKETS HOLDS GRAND RE-OPENING FOR REMODELED STORE

Store team donates $1,500 to local non-profits

SUNBURY, PA (July 25, 2018) -- Weis Markets today announced it has completed the remodel of its Walnut Street store in Newport, PA and that it donated $1,500 to local non-profits as part of its Grand Re-opening celebration.

The remodeled store has added a beer-wine café which opened in May. This cafe sells more than 200 varieties of imported and domestic wines including ones from Pennsylvania vineyards, as well as a chilled section. The café also offers 560 varieties of domestic, imported and craft beer, including local craft beers brewed by Troeg’s, Liquid Hero and Wyndridge Farms.

Additional improvements include: upgraded deli and produce departments, increased natural, organic and gluten free variety and new self-checkout lanes.
