Sunbury, PA (May 1, 2023) – Weis Markets’ pharmacy team today issued an update on the Centers for Disease Control and Protection’s (CDC) recent COVID-19 vaccine recommendations.
“The CDC’s recommendations offer more flexibility to people at higher risk who want the added protection of an additional bivalent COVID-19 vaccine dose,” said Rick Seipp, Weis Markets vice president of pharmacy. “Their new recommendations allow adults ages 65 and older and immunocompromised individuals to receive an additional updated (bivalent) vaccine dose.”
