WEIS MARKETS STATEMENT ON GAP STORE

Sunbury, PA (November 24, 2019) –Early this morning, a fire broke out in our Gap, Pennsylvania store. There were no associates or customers in the store at the time of the fire.

The store is extensively damaged and is expected to be closed indefinitely. We are currently working with the Fire Marshall to determine the cause of the fire. 

While we recover from the fire, customers are encouraged to visit one of our nearby stores at 1603 Lincoln Highway East in Lancaster or 2600 Willow Street Pike in Willow Street. We have also offered our Gap associates temporary reassignment to these stores. Customers of our Gap Pharmacy should contact either of those stores with questions about their prescriptions. 

We are grateful to the local fire companies for their timely response to this fire and hope to have more information in the coming days.
