Thank you for your interest in our in-store kids cooking classes! Policies regarding our classes are below. Email [email protected] with any questions.

Age Limit

We aim to make our classes ideal for kids ages 5-10 to mostly be able to make the recipe on their own. Younger kids are welcome to join, but may need an adult’s help actively throughout class. If your child is younger than 5, please plan to stay nearby for the duration of the class.

Signing Up for Class

Our kids classes have limited space, and registration is required. Please register each child separately using their names. Classes are free to attend. If a class is full, you can join the waitlist through the same link used to register. You will receive an email notification if a spot opens up and you are added to the class. Information goes out monthly about upcoming classes through the dietitian email list. Subscribe to the email list here to be notified right away when new kids classes are posted.

Allergies

When registering for class, there will be a space to enter your child’s allergies. We are generally able to accommodate any allergens. If a recipe can not be altered to accommodate an allergen, you will be notified via email.

Adult Attendance

Adults bringing each child are required to stay in the store during class, but may go shopping. If space allows, you may be able to sit with your child during class. If class is full, there may not be enough seats and we may ask you wait nearby. If you choose to wait nearby, please be considerate of space available and limit those staying in the cooking class area to 1-2 adults per family.

No Show Policy

Due to the popularity of our kids cooking classes, we want to ensure everyone is given the opportunity to sign up and attend class. If you sign up for class and no-show two or more times, priority will be given to other registrants and you may be moved to the waitlist of future classes. If you are moved to the waitlist, you will be notified via email prior to the class. A no-show is when you do not show up for class and have not given any notification beforehand. You can give notification by canceling the registration on Healthie (the online platform used to register for classes), by responding to the confirmation email you receive, or by emailing [email protected].

Class Cancellation

If a class has less than 3 people registered 24 hours prior to class, it will be cancelled and you will be notified via email. In the event of inclement weather or instructor illness, you will receive an email 24 hours before class letting you know if the class is cancelled or rescheduled. If you do not receive an email, class is going on as scheduled.
